British Airways has come up with a good news for all passengers flying via the airline. Now, flyers traveling out of Hong Kong can enjoy discounted rates to Europe if they prefer to book flights on 28th November before midnight, this current year. The offer is valid across all classes.
It has been stated that the promotion can be availed by passengers until 30th June 2019. Furthermore, flyers can opt the five percent discount if they choose to purchase two or more tickets. In addition, there’s a special benefit for the members of Executive Club frequent flyer programme of British Airways Reservations. They would be able to collect double the normal of their Avios points if they book tickets towards the end of the current year.
British Airways has declared special deals on return fares in different classes comprising first, business, premium, and economy classes.
Having said that, this exciting promotion can be availed on booking of airways to destinations beyond London Heathrow to several other places comprising Europe, preferably Vienna, Venice, Amsterdam, Paris, and Prague.
British Airways operates its flights between London and Hong Kong twice daily. Boeing 777 is used to operate one flight while the other is handled by Airbus A380 superjumbo.
After reviewing the current situation in Japan, Delta Airlines reservations has decided to extend the suspension of one daily flight service that operates between Tokyo-Haneda and Detroit. However, there have been no schedule adjustments for the air flights operating between Tokyo-Haneda and Los Angeles.
The airline said that the passengers who have made their reservations for Tokyo-Haneda will be re-accommodated to the air line flights that will operate to Tokyo-Narita airport. If the passengers are not satisfied with the schedule adjustments, they can request for full air ticket refund.
The schedule of the other air flights service to Tokyo’s Narita International Airport remains unchanged.
Delta Airlines Flights Reservations have been asked to pay a fine of USD 2 million by the United States Department of Transportation, for violating federal rules on passengers with disabilities.
The fine amount charged is the largest of ever imposed penalty against any airline for safety-related issues.
According to the Department of Transportation, there has been lot of complaints regarding the assistance to the passengers with disabilities while boarding or de-boarding the planes in 2007 and 2008. The government also reported that Delta Airline has not been answering the disabilities complaints made by the passengers regularly.
However, the airline has been trying to settle the case without admitting its fault. Instead, it says that most of the fine amount could be used by the airline to provide more efficient services to passengers with disabilities. The airline was also cited in the past for the similar violation.
Delta Airlines Reservations recently removed the curtain from the first Sky Club lounge out of the four lounges, which were under renovation at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. The renovation of the Sky Club lounge was the part of the carrier’s USD 2 billion plan to improve the services on the ground and in the air.
The renovated lounge at the Minneapolis St. Paul airport is located near the entrance of the F/G concourse has a small work zone, which is equipped with desktop computers, with wifi internet access, printer’s facility, and also serves complimentary food and beverages. Along with these there will also be a flight assistant in the lounge, who will assist the passengers.
The airlines will unveil the remaining three at the Atlanta International Airport, New York La Guardia Airport and Philadelphia International by the end of this month. The lounge at the Atlanta airport is located near gate B-10 on the B concourse. The lounge at the New York La Guardia, whose first phase is nearly on the completion and second phase will complete during the summer, is located close to the exit of the security area. The lounge at Philadelphia Airport is located adjacent to the security exit in Terminal D.
The airline is expecting to build another new Sky Club in Concourse D of Atlanta International Airport as well as complete the renovation of the lounge near Gate A-17. A plan to build the brand new Sky Club at the Seattle airport is also on cards.
The airline is also planning to introduce the fully-flat seats in the Business Elite cabin on the transpacific routes.
